Good place to eat. They have a boat ramp and good people to deal with.
My husband and I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience. Owners are always very gracious hosts. The grilled shrimp and chicken are always great and while I don't eat catfish, my husband and dad were both pleased with their meals. To the folks who left bad review about room, this is an older place which adds to the charm and it is on the lake, so you will naturally have more bugs than those not on the lake. This is just the price of being in nature. Was the Best Western built right next to the lake? We don't get to visit as often as we'd like, but it is a treasure and I would encourage anyone to visit.

This place is a joke showed up at 630 when they didnt close till 7 and they refused to let us in turning down alot of kids of a meal and it is pretty much the only restraunt around. I would not recomend supporting them with any buisness at all.
Stay away from Shady cliffy resort. Shady Bentley is the owner and is shady as a summer thunderstorm. We didn't eat at the restaurant or stay at the resort, but rented a boat. Paid 120 for 4 hours and shady Bentley showed us how to operate the boat and the gas tank full of gas. Well we started off the dock and was not speeding and here comes Bentley chasing us down saying we didn't rent a speed boat. We was only going half throttled and i told Bentley if you didnt want us to drive it a little fast then you should have said it at the dock. But why have a motor on a boat that you can't drive the speed its made to drive at. So we drove very slow on the lake cause we didn't want any trouble. Then we passed one of the other boats and it was smoking really bad, well enough it was shady Bentley's boat, then another boat being tolled back by other boat. We took back our boat early cause we was scared of being stuck or being on a smoking boat. Then we noticed shady Bentley didnt put the gas cap back on and another couple renting a boat said the same thing. The girl in the gift shop said he does it so we would come back to get gas sooner, so he is ripping people off so we can by more gas. So if you rent a boat make sure he puts the gas cap on. Then he tells you to call him when you get back to the marina to give him the keys. He wouldn't answer the phone and you cant leave the keys with anyone else. We searched the location for 30 minutes and nobody knew where shady Bentley was. Finally someone told us he was behind the resort drinking on the back of the truck with his friends. We gave him the keys and went to our house rental. The an hour later shady Bentley calls us asking if we called him. I said we tried earlier when we were bring back the boat, then he said well did you bring it back? I said yes do you remember I gave you the keys while you was drinking on the back of the truck. He said oh yeah then hung up. Save yourself the trouble and rent from another location.
